Tropicoco Husk 8QT Compressed Brick

  1. Place the compressed brick into a large bowl.
  2. Add 2.5 gallons of warm water.
  3. Watch the husk expand! (20 min)

Galapagos Tropicoco Husk

Tropicoco Husk Breeder Block

Galápagos Tropicoco Husk Bedding Breeder Block Splits into 4 individual bricks for convenience. Expand one brick and store the rest, or expand all 4 for multiple terrariums. Two individual bricks should cover a 40-gal breeder tank. Hydrate each brick with 2.5 gallons of warm water and allow to sit until the water has been soaked up. Mix the substrate until the consistency is even. The mixture should be wet but should not be dripping water when squeezed. Then add at least 2-4 inches of Galápagos Tropicoco Husk to allow animals to burrow, plants to take root or to sufficiently cover the base of the terrarium.

Replace Bedding once or twice a month depending on your pets habits and terrarium size. Terrariums with live plants and ample room require less frequent changing.

Make it last! Remove individual waste and surrounding substrate with a scoop and replace with extra bedding. This will make the substrate last longer while keeping your pet's habitat safe, clean and healthy!
